Instead of constantly updating Microsoft FrontPage, I wanted another solution to the ever growing number of images I have acquired. Additionally, FrontPage support for image resizing was somewhat limited, but I wanted the full image available online for anyone who wanted it. Finally, Microsoft dropped the development of FrontPage. It was time for me to seek another solution.
After looking around on the internet, I came to two choices, Google's Picasa program or a server based program called Gallery2. Picasa is and was beautiful in its simplicity. However, Picasa does not currently allow you to post their beautiful picture pages on your own website, instead requiring you to post to the picasaweb page. Unfortunately, picasaweb has a 1GB limit. My personal web page has a much larger size limit.
Gallery2 is much more complicated to set up, but it appears to have almost all of the features that I need. I hope you enjoy it!
